Avian Flu. There, out in the open. It is everywhere in the news, and unfortunately we are all being affected at minimum indirectly. It is something that I've been paying close attention to and preparing for the risk becoming higher here in the Portland area. At this point we are still considered low risk, but we should pay attention and be wary.

We have increased our biosecurity measures and fortunately we have no contact with water fowl other than our domestic, non-flying ducks. We do have one small songbird feeder, but it is not near our birds and fortunately at this point songbirds are at very low risk. Importantly, we are with our birds every day, doing quick-checks dawn and dusk and regular closer inspections for health.

We are slowly selling our eggs again. We have raised prices by one dollar so be sure to use your subscription points! Please limit orders to 1-2 dozens during the months of March and April. You can always message me if you happen to need more and I'll let you know if we can accommodate.

I hope this year will be a good one.
